What is your major motivation for seeing a movie?
Cinema has come to become a vital part of the lives of people. The industry has grown over the years and it is even becoming a big thing in developing nations as well. Movie going habits however varies depending on the individual involved. Some go to the cinemas so often while others go on special occasions. These days, some people prefer to watch movies in the cinema than to watch at home. The box office is also very important as people monitor it to decide on which movie they want to see and to also have a glimpse of the movies they have heard so much about. There are numerous reasons people decide to see a movie.
These reasons also depend on the person involved. The decision to go see a movie is not based on buzz and publicity alone. Some people are not easily convinced with advertising and marketing strategies. The obvious one is that people go because of star actors and actresses. I personally will see anything Halle Berry appears in. Anything! Some also go to see a movie because of the directing staff. A course mate said buzz has never worked on her father and that her old man will go see anything done by David Lynch. The man has been a fan since forever and he still talks about Lynch passionately. For her, she doesn’t mind play klonkdike solitaire with her money so far she is going to have a nice time. This is the kind of the approach she has to movies. Her decision depends mostly on friends than any other factor. What is yours?
